DEIRDRE FANZO ’18 IS A SENIOR AT LEHMAN COLLEGE. SHE IS A STUDENT IN THE LEHMAN SCHOLAR’S PROGRAM AND IS MAJORING IN ENGLISH AS A PART OF THE DEPARTMENT’S PRESTIGIOUS ENGLISH HONORS PROGRAM. SHE RECENTLY WROTE A THESIS ON ADDICTION NARRATIVES IN ROMANTIC AND VICTORIAN GOTHIC TEXTS AND HOPES TO PUBLISH HER WORK ON THE TOPIC. SHE IS ALSO THE NEWS EDITOR OF THE MERIDIAN, THE LEHMAN COLLEGE NEWSPAPER, AND IS THE PRESIDENT AND A CO-FOUNDER OF THE LGBTQ+ ALLIANCE ON CAMPUS. AFTER GRADUATING IN THE SPRING, SHE HOPES TO PURSUE A MASTER’S DEGREE IN LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SCIENCES AT QUEENS COLLEGE.
